WLYC 24 Hour Race 2009
 24 Hour RaceThe 43rd WLYC 24-Hour Race took place on the 19th and 20th September 2009. 75 boats took part, three classes Ent, GP14 and Lark. Light weather prevailed. Surely you would think this would be suited to the Enterprise. 1st place went to South Staffs SC in a GP14 and they also took 2nd Place in a Lark. 3rd Overall and 1st Enterprise went to the WLYC Enterprise Fleet. 4th overall and 2nd Enterprise went to Pilkington SC. 5th Overall and 3rd Enterprise went to Chester S. &C.C. Masters and winning 1st Masters 6th Overall and 4th Enterprise went to Soulsailor Racing Association. 8th overall and 5th Enterprise went to Derwent Res SC (Team Trident) We had to wait till 12th Overall and 6th Enterprise Ogston SC (Red) 15th Place and first University Boat in an Enterprise was Edinburgh University. I’m sure you can see our North West sailing clubs had great success this year in one of the best ever WLYC 24-hour race.
